Important Points Before Installing the Bot in Microsoft Teams

Before installing the bot in Teams, ensure the following:

  • Users must already be registered in Happyforce.

  • The email used to register users in Happyforce must match their Microsoft Teams email. If the emails do not match, the bot will not be installed for the user.

1. Search for Happyforce in Microsoft Teams

Only individuals with permissions to manage a team in Microsoft Teams can install the Happyforce bot.

The first step is to search for our bot within the Microsoft Teams apps. Use the search term "Happyforce," and you will see several available apps. Please note that our bot is called Hero.

2. Select the Team

Once you find the bot and click on it, follow these steps in the modal window:

Click "Add".

In the dropdown menu, select "Add to a team".

In the dialog box, choose the team where you want to install the Happyforce bot.

At this point, we verify that the email associated with the user in Teams matches the email registered in Happyforce. If the emails match, the bot is automatically installed for all team members, and it sends them a greeting to announce its presence. We wouldn’t want Hero to feel lonely or abandoned 😉.

Now that it’s installed, you can start collecting feedback effortlessly 💪.

What Happens if I Invite New Members to a Team Where the Bot is Already Installed?

Our bot performs a daily check at 9:00 AM for new users added to Happyforce. If new users are found, they will be greeted, and the bot will be installed automatically.

For example:
If you invite new users to Happyforce at 5:00 PM today, the bot will not send a greeting or install until the following day. This process is automatic, so no action is required on your part.

What if I Want to Invite a New Team in Microsoft Teams?

It’s as simple as repeating the steps outlined above, which you now know by heart! 😀
